For those who are coming out to the track for the first time or would like to refresh your memory, I suggest you read the Open Track Day Primer. It contains important info such as flags, passing zones and passing, info on tech, and helmets along with other useful information such as tires, torque for wheels, run groups, and brake fade.
Some things to keep in mind:
- The gates open at 7:00 AM. Tech opens at 7:15 and closes at 9:15. ALL cars must pass tech before going on track.
- We will not have gas at the track. I suggest getting gas before you come out so you don't accidentally run out on track. There are gas stations within 5 minuntes of the track if you need to get some.
- We do run in the rain and the windows must be down when on track regardless of weather. Make sure to bring some rain gear just in case. If you want to check the weather just head over to the National Weather Service. It's still too early in the week to make a prediction on the weather so make sure to check in later in the week.
- We will have loaner helmets at the track, but they are in limited supply (I believe we used all of them last OTD). So I still suggest bringing your own. Helmets have to be SA 2000 or newer. DOT only and 95 (or later) helmets are not approved and you will not be able to pass tech without an approved helmet. If you have an approved helmet that you would like to donate to the track please contact Clutch (email below) as soon as possible, and bring it to the track.
See you at the track this weekend :)
