The track is starting to cool down as the summer is slowly coming to an end. The Michigan Classic Vintage races had this place abuzz. But now it is time to focus on the next-to-last race weekend (I know...already) at the 1.42 mile Waterford Hills road course.
The Great Lakes Challenge Series will be racing their season final as the Showcase group. These Formula Contentials have been battling at tracks all over the Mid-west this season and will settle the championship here at Waterford Hills.
Also, did not get enough of the Woodward Dream Cruise? Well invading The Hill will be two car clubs. Mopar Club and Bowties Club will be on The Hill for viewing, bring your classic out, enjoy the races, and take some touring laps. Prizes to be awarded!
Practice for race weekend #4 will be available for drivers on Friday August 26th starting at noon. Closed wheel practice first for 30 minutes then open wheel practice for 30 minutes. This schedule will continue until the last open wheel session at 3:30pm.
Saturday qualifying for group #1 will begin at 10:05am. Races will begin after the lunch break. The last race of the day (Closed wheel co-driver) should end up just before 6pm.
Sunday races begin at 10:05am with group #1 Sunday class race and the track will be alive until 6pm with the group #6 feature race being the final race.
For all spectating information go to the 'fans' tab. $5 for entrance into the specating area per person and $5 for paddock access. Free parking for all and free entry for persons 16 years and younger. Consessions are available. Sit in the many available bleachers or bring a blanket or chair.
