The roar of engines at Waterford Hills Road Course will begin to be heard April 17th, 2011, the first of four scheduled Open Track Days for the 2011 season. This is the first scheduled on track activity for the upcoming 2011 race season. A great way to cure the winter blues and shaking the rust off in preparation for race season.
Opening race weekend for Waterford Hills' 53rd year will be May 7th & 8th. But not before all the rookies try their hand at the 13 turn, 1.42 mile road course on April 30th and May 1st during the 2011 Waterford Hills Driver's School. The classroom date is TBA for this year's driver school. This date and other information will be updated on the "Driver's School" tab on the main page in the near future.
Race weekend #2 will be June 4th & 5th. After a two week break, racing resumes June 25th & 26th. Race #4 will be right in the middle of summer and in the middle of July, July 16th & 17th.
Waterford Hills Vintage weekend is back, and the dates to see some great historic racing machines are August 12th, 13th & 14th. Race #5 will follow two weeks after the Vintage weekend, August 27th & 28th. The season ending race weekend to crown all the champions will be October 1st & 2nd.
The additional Open Track Days (which are open to the public) will be July 2nd, July 31st and September 25th. The 2011 Fun Run will take place October 15th. See the bottom of the main page for a quick reference listing of all the dates.
Showcase race events, car shows on The Hill and other special events will be announced in the future.
